9 preschoolers,
7 moms, and
2 grandmas made it to the top of Mt. Ashwabay for Toddler Learn to Ski Day. Lots of snow and beautiful 30 degree weather made for an ideal day. Cliff and Tim, our fearless instructors, helped us learn the basics of downhill skiing on Bunny Hill. We walked kids upslope (all the moms got lots of exercise) where Tim or Cliff held them upright, pointed their skis in the right direction, then released them to ski down and be caught by mom! For some kids that was enough, but a few stuck it out and after lots of practice, and a snack, they were braving the tow rope and skiing back down with some help! This was a really fun event! If you didn't make it this year, watch for it for next year!
